Innocence Lost

Updated: Oct 2, 2024

By Taniya Mukhopadhyay

She was innocent.

Unaware of the ways of the world.

Everything was like a game,

And every man a friend.

Until one day, when

Her innocence became intolerable,

And they made it sure

To wipe out her innocence, forever.

Just a mere child she was,

When their lustful eyes scanned

Her body, but did not see her soul

And played the unimaginable game.

Now, another victim she is,

She must live till the end

Fight the battle inside, and

Win over the pain.
