In the British era of cacophony and noise,

Ahiṁsā and peace were his permanent choice.

In the British era of draconian power and might,

Satyagrah being his soul instrument of fight.

In the British era of satanic mandate and satanic dictate,

Inner vulnerability and inner virtues were his human innate.

In the British era of serial authoritarianism and exploitation colonialism,

Despite such odes, he flowed like a free-flowing cascade full of humanism.

In the British era of value deforestation and cultural felling,

Gandhi planted life-affirming seeds of values and cultural healing.

Such was the valor of this Kriya yogi of the East,

Without any violent gun, with people, he could tame the British Beast.

Such a rigid spiritual seed through his inner tree he put,

Even the unholy Macaulay's education system could not root.
