INEVITABLE DESTINY

With every sound of the hammer

Against the long, grey nail

He was reminded of what was to come

Only the hard bare wood

Would be replaced

With

By his soft, tender flesh

The chipping of the wood

Causing tiny pieces to float in the air

Was what his flesh would succumb to

But this time, the tiny pieces of wood

Was his very own blood

Knowing full well,

That his well-known joy

Would be his end lead to his end

As he threw himself onto the ground

In the faraways of Gethsemane

Praying he might not go through the inevitable

The sorrow in his heart was so great

That it almost crushed him

But even still he asked once more

That his suffering be pardoned,

yet still

Let it not be what he wants

But what the father wills for the

spirit is willing, but the flesh is

weak
