Independence From Hope
By Aadyaa Anirudh
Not knowing what others think about you is one of the most perfect things, you don't know but you expect so you act well enough to deserve it, but when they tell you
in a few sentences a summary of what you are to them in so little it's a deduction of your character. All that you did but it's still so very little that you should hope to do more and better but some might even give up either way it wouldn't be a wrong decision. It's not everything but it still is an opinion
It's only an opinion.
This is my poem where I tell myself that there's no one else in the world to solve all my problems for me and that it’s just me who has to put in efforts.
Your eyes remain full of deceit. A dark ocean swallows its secrets. Your lips shape insidious lies. My ears hear a beautiful cadence.
My heart is drowning in resent for you
You nestled me in your tyranny, spoon-fed me needles, poured out your heart for me, It was poison
I miss it even though there is nothing to miss.
No memories to replay in my head while I walk from class at school. No inside jokes I can laugh about by myself.
Tears in my eyes, pain in my heart, Whisper of tomorrow,or an end tonight
A need to be heard, or a better life. Happiness I long for, yet strife by my side
Let the dust subside, let it be wrought
Alone may you stand A victor of a desolate world. The dirt only in your grasp.
May the caress of peace never touch your cheek,
The victor of argument, belief, and virtue.
Hero of your world, you rose above The mantle is yours, and yours alone.
