Inch Of Her Heart
By Ansh Yadav
Wrapped in a flag came his remains,
the widow's tears flew as if it rained,
his little children oblivious of the void they gained,
the Widow's profound sorrow behind her heroic face.
She got a mucky letter from his pocket,
he wrote, " I am sorry my love if I don't make it back!
sacrifice, is all that unique we have
our children must proud on us in case you never see my face back.
I never want us to separate this way
I definitely didn't marry you, for you to face this fate.
my onus to my country asks for lot,
but my wishes to be with you in comparison are as small as a dot.
Yes I said I would never leave you all
but never mentioned, one day I won't be back at all."
She said as she stood by his mortal remains,
"Your sacrifice and love for the nation makes me insane,
there was still so much to be said still so much to do,
you promised me of the day our hair turns grey
you can't just give up in middle of the way."
the bullet surely went through his heart
but pierced every inch of her heart.
