In The World Without Mirror
By Ankit Chaudhari
In the starry forsaken night,
something precious shining bright.
Round around every night,
lustrous once in dazzling sight,
in some with the diming light.
Tonight, hidden beyond the smog,
longing moon, broken half,
shimmering sorrows in my eyes.
Restive still, gawping at,
on the shore, in my flat,
reflecting face through the wall,
spreading symptoms of love withdrawal.
Looking down, challenging at,
consoling me with sympathy pat,
breeding thoughts in night so cold,
some of mighty faith and hope,
asking again on my own,
in pursuit of comfort to never fold.
Going down, the road in blame,
loosing again, sense in shame,
enough said yet, nothing believed,
made up words waiting to guide,
one man’s goal, late in life.
All through one, too big to die,
in the world without mirror,
among nights locked in sigh,
holding unspoken promise between,
me and him,
one more is just passing by.
