In The Memory Of My Pet
By Pooja Jain
This is a real story which happened in 2009.
We had a teensy and teeny canine.
Who was like a candy coated little ursine.
We pet name her Jimmy.
By temperament she was bit naughty.
She used to move all around in the house.
Her face was like a sugared little mouse.
When she burst forth little strapping
She became very shaggy.
By outlook she was very balmy.
Her hairs were bright and effulgent.
By nature she was pretty benevolent.
Unlike other dogs she was not portentous but was bit innocuous.
She was perky, befitted and splendid.
So she used to stow away under the ply wood.
She only relished and liked the food.
Which suits her crazy mood.
She was unique, bizzare and gamely.
All the people who meet her says that she was very comely.
While years passed she became enfeebled and pony.
Like a dried bunch of posy.
She was no more jolly and pacy.
As she became a bit elegy.
In her conclusive daye she became exorbitantly dreadful.
Like a bunch of flowers dried and awful.
It was on the 16 th of November 2009.
When I rang the doorbell.
I didn’t knew or envisioned .
What addle news it would bring then.
She was grabbed by us .
By one baseless, groundless game of eternity.
Now what we can do is whimper and cry.
As she has become a glistening star in the sky.
Now we can only cherish, revel in the sweet and enchanting
reminiscences which we have spend with her.
She was a nectarous little archangel.
Who filled our life with sanctity and vivacity.
Everyone says that she is no more in this heavenly body and has left
her body.
But I feel that she might have left her body.
Her soul is and will be around us.
She will always tarry in our heart..
Forever, forevermore and till the end of time..
