In The End

I hope they say I was kind even when I was speaking my mind.

I hope they speak of my actions and not just my words and how I gave people a chance to be heard.

I hope they remember the daughter I tried to be till the very end, since there was only me.

I hope ‘He’ recalls the mother I tried so hard to be a model of virtue, love and honesty.

I hope they think about the teacher and teachings I worked hard to impart, sharing bits of my life and my heart.

I hope I am remembered for the love I shared with one and all trying to be there for those who needed me with a call.

I hope they discuss the kind of friend I was; ready to hug and laugh even with very little cause.

In the end when I have left this earthly plain;

I hope I will leave the world with memories that will forever remain.
