Title-In Search Of.

The eyes wander everywhere,

seeing through every minute detail and every void;

at the clouds and under the soil,

at the blazing sun and the forming rainbow.

They roam over every face frantically,

focusing on the twitch of a lip,

the mischief dancing in their eyes,

the crinkle of an eyebrow when they think too much,

scanning through the facades.

The legs move eventually then;

the hands flail and pave the way.

The air is sliced, and so is the heart.

Soon, desperation turns to exhaustion.

Hot tears prick the eyes and trail through the aisles.

The lips cannot mind the taste of salt,

for it is pursuit itself.

The head is bowed,

the eyes defeated.

For acceptance arrives,

and with it, a sense of grief.

The weight finally settles upon the shoulders.

Desperation fades.

Realisation strikes.

Acceptance resolves.

The constant grief begins to bloom.

But to live with it?

The eyes must wander everywhere.
