I have never known hunger,

like these insects that feast upon me.

Oh my divine ruin,

do fasten these chains on me.

I look upon you in painful reverence,

blinking in sight of your blinding light.

For if a communion of our gaze be a delightful sin,

I shall surrender mine into the night.

You bathe me in your heavenly visage,

shedding ethereal light on my sins.

Like Orion before me, I kneel,

in holy agony of my thirst for your aether.

I bear ecstasy in the joy of your acquaintance,

Would that I, in our final moments,

tear myself apart with your desire,

my flesh bleeding with visceral longing.

I rip apart my pulse, to consecrate it to your being,

fleeting exaltation not sufficient, for I search for our union,

and so in a stroke akin to the reaper’s,

I pour my soul to your vessel.
