Illusion

By Khushboo Sharma

Lost in an illusion

What has happened to your vision?

Come out!

Told you, the path is not smooth

When faced by diversion ahead

Don’t be a coward and go straight to the bed

Wake up, I shout!

How much value does that one day of false happiness hold?

The cost of which you pay with tears manifold.

Stop seeing dreams with open eyes, says your inner conscience.

Stop wasting each day ruthlessly cause time is precious

If this goes on, you will lose yourself, I doubt

Come out of this illusion, come out!

You have come too far now

Time to clear that scar now

When you know your strength and weakness,

How can you let it resurface, how?

Be capable, not miserable

Be powerful, not pathetic and unstable

Start working to bring back the old you,

Break this illusion and you will get where you want to…
