एक घर बनाना है….

एक घर बनाना है,

जहाँ कोई न हो।

जहाँ मैं और मेरी तन्हाई,

जहाँ दुनिया की जंजीरें न हो,

बस मैं और मेरी सच्चाई,

जिसमें कमरे न हो तंग से,

बस मैं और मेरी रजाई,

एक घर बनाना है।

जहाँ मैं बैठूँ बिना सोच के ,

हसूँ तो दिल खोल के,

और सोचू न, कुछ बोल के,

कपड़े पहनू बिना रोक टोक के,

एक घर बनाना है।

जहाँ जग के ताने न हो,

मेरे गुणों-अवगुणों की कहानी न हो,

जहाँ मैं बस अपनी दीवानी होऊँ,

जहाँ इज्जत सिर्फ मेरी जिम्मेदारी न हो,

जहाँ लड़की होने का मलाल न हो,

एक घर बनाना है।

जहाँ मैं साँस लूँ दिल खोल के,

सारे परदे खोल के,

बिना लड़का लड़की की सोच के,

बिना रिश्तों के बोझ के,

खाऊँ पीऊँ बिना रोक के,

दूर दुनियां की सोच के,

बस एक घर बनाना है।

जहाँ परदे हो मेरे सपनों के,

अलमारी भरी हो आत्मविश्वास से,

चारपाई हो सुकून सी,

खिडक़ियाँ हो उम्मीदों की,

दरवाज़े हो आज़ादी के,

एक अपना घर बनाना है।

जो हो बिना पिता के मोह के,

परे हो,

पत्नी की ज़िम्मेदारियों के बोझ से।

जहाँ मैं संतानों की माता नहीं,

जहाँ मेरा कोई भ्राता नहीं,

एक अपना घर बनाना है।

जहाँ नाम पट्टिका मेरे नाम की,

सुंदर तितलियाँ उड़े आज़ाद सी,

कहते हैं लडकियों का घर नहीं होता,

लेकिन मेरा होगा,

न पिता, न पति, न भाई, न बेटे का,

जो सिर्फ मेरा होगा,

अब बस एक घर बनाना है।
