If Gandhi Was Born Today?

INTRODUCTION:

Gandhi who is called the Father of our Nation is not remembered by most of us. It is sad to say only few of us know about this great person. Present India has been more developed compared to the ancient India. When he was alive India followed the path of non-violence but today we can see a lot of changes. If Gandhi was born today he would not be happy because of the political issues that are prevailing in our country. So let me tell about my imagination that what he will be doing if he had been born in this generation.

POVERTY AND CORRUPTION:

If Gandhi was born today he would really fight for corruption and eradicate poverty from our country. Initially he would be very shocked about the system that is leading India but he will try to fight for corruption without any food as he had earlier laid down salt sathyagraha etc. “Corruption is a major cause of poverty as well as a barrier to overcome it”. So if it is eradicated our country will become prosperous.

POLITICS AND GOVERNMENT:

“Political language is designed to make lies sound truthful and murders respectful” .This is the current scenario of our Indian government. So If Gandhi was born today there would have been a huge clash between the government and him. Also he would have moved the country in the path of non-violence. But it is being a bit difficult. Gandhi would have taken a different stance of not joining any political party as the ideology; concern of him towards the nation and people is different from the today’s politicians who are busy in filling their pockets by corruption, not looking behind people’s welfare. So, Gandhi would have been a greatest challenge to the existing government policies and politicians.

DIGITAL MONEY:

India has a Smartphone penetration of 39% out of which only 8% consists of 4G handsets. Furthermore all of these connections are not necessarily connected to the internet. Even though that issue is set to change with the introduction of super-cheap data rates by Indian Network Jio.They gave free data to all the new subscribers till the end of March 2017. The number of people who have signed up with Jio is mind blowing. In 83 days since its launch, it got 50 million subscribers. That made it the fastest growing subscriber base in the world. Now, you can see launching of 5G network in India and Reliance Jio has been offering many new features that excite people to go for it. As Mahatma Gandhi said “First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win” People ignored digital money when it was launched. People were very critical of digital money when the idea was spoken. So I think that if Gandhi was born during this time there is a chance for him to welcome this invention also there is a chance for him to go against this one as he was an advocate.

BILL EASY:

Bill easy, an e-billing engine has made all our transactions and bills digitalised making it easier for people. 2022 had envisioned lot of technological changes that has got more digitalised in the post pandemic world and India is not a exception to it. People use paperless billing more than paper billing. Simply by providing their phone number people can get all of their bills reposted on their phone. It is simple, seamless and fast. Mahatma Gandhi would be proud of what he is seeing today. He will be proud to see India changing in dimensions which even Indians never thought they would do it.

TRUTH AND NON-VIOLENCE:

Gandhi would be really disappointed if he was born in this generation. Because there are lot of massacres and assassinations going all over the country and there is no way for non violence to travel. So he will be really worried if he was born today also he could see the people lying for job, money etc.Truth is completely destroyed today but Gandhi will try to bring out the truth that is lying dormant and make the country to realise what it was.

AGRICULTURE:

If Gandhi was born today he would be really worried about farmer’s suicide but he will also be working as a farmer and would have taken this issue to PM directly. “Agriculture is the most healthful, most useful and most noble employment of man”

EDUCATION AND VILLAGE:

“Education is what remains after one has forgotten what one has learned in school” said by Albert Einsten.But today system in India is mostly mark oriented and not knowledge oriented especially when it comes to the south of India. So If Gandhi was born today surely he would have also stood behind us and would have supported for NEET etc. “A Village is a hive of glass where nothing unobserved can pass”. Villages have been more developed today than it was before. So Gandhi would feel really proud.

CONCLUSION:

I surely believe that without Gandhi in India there would be no Barack Obama as President of United States. Not only him but many would have not come up in life without the inspiration of Gandhi

He is the One Luminous, Creator of all, Mahatma Always in the hearts of people enshrined, Revealed through Love, Intuition and Thought Whoever knows Him, Immortal becomes!!!

This courage is not something non-existent in the people who live today .It exists in many of us when we voice our opinions against something wrong, like someone once said “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”Gandhi was nothing but an ordinary man who took that single extra-ordinary step and continued on the path.
