I Wish

I wish I could claim him as mine.

As someone who would stand by me.

I wish I could make my life shine

As bright as the sun, alive and free.

I wish I could confess all that I’m overthinking

As open as a heart can ever be.

I wish I could make jim understand.

As much as I try to stay away from him.

I wish things were easier.

If only I had not fallen for him.

If only we were just strangers who passed each others path.
