*I See Dead People*

I see dead people, mimicking their faith

Echoes of hope, lost in a haze of rage

Their eyes, once bright, now dim and grey

Reflecting the chaos that's consumed their way

Their hearts, once full of love, now filled with pain Their souls, once soaring, now trapped in vain They're searching for a light, a guiding ray

To lead them out of the darkness, into a brand new day

But anger and revenge, they whisper sweet lies "Stay in the chains, don't try to rise"

But deep inside, a spark still glows

A flame of hope, that flickers, and grows.

They're trying to break free, from the weights that bind From the shackles of fear, that leave them blind They're reaching for a hand, to pull them through To guide them out of the darkness, into a brand new view

I see dead people, mimicking their faith

But I also see, a glimmer of hope, a beacon of grace A chance for redemption, a chance to start anew A chance to rise, and shine, and see it through I see a star
