________________

I imagine it to be cold, freezing, zero.

No air to breathe,

No warmth to feel,

No final remarks,

Just a sudden loss.

Every regret will swell and swell,

Until it bursts and flows over.

A bitter taste will enter my mouth,

And questions will flow in and out,

Why didn’t you do this?

Couldn’t you have done that?

How come you didn’t try this?

Why did you live like that?

Then there will be the turning of an inked page,

Present in every background,

Touched in every scene,

Polished in every character,

Yet faceless, I’ll remain unseen.

I imagine it to be painful, agonizing, sorrowful.

Tears and fallacies from spectators,

As a pastor will prey on emotion.

More bawling as casket will be in motion,

Or ashes thrown in the ocean.

I hope to be wrong, more wrong than I ever could be.

I want when the sun sets, I am gifted the moon,

When the time comes, the figure won’t be too cruel.

When I am called back I hope they take my hand,

Then guide me to my place and show me future, present, past

Let me linger,

Let me be remembered,

Let me experience happiness,

Let me not have a single regret,

Before I take my last breath.
