I Hope You Know
By Sonal Taparia
When the leaves were turning orange,
Wherever I could look, there was a mountain range.
Every person's Instagram was blowing up with travel stories,
Half the population was bathing in Sun's eternal glory.
I knew for a fact, Traveling was also a tiring pursuit,
The FOMO was real but so was the terrifying commute.
But people still chose to make travel plans relentlessly.
Not because they wanted to chill,
but for the namesake social fun and utterly fake thrill.
Nowadays, Lenses watch the sunsets,
All kinds of sunrises are there on the internet.
My goodness, living a good life has become such a long standing bet,
What happened to a group of friends,
Who would leisurely sit and just chitchat?
Then, there is me,
One person , few in every million,
Who knows it would be hard to make my first billion.
Who knows being a philosopher is far too easy,
Trends, reels and travels bliss, All are breezy.
So, I hope you know that Rome wasn't built in a day,
Life is not fun and child's play.
It takes courage to dream big,
To go from zero to one,
So, pull yourself up, You are not yet done.
It is not supposed to be easy,
Fuck livin' in the moment,
Let the world go crazy,
You were meant to shine in success, My daisy.
Now that you can see the fine line between facts and fantasies,
Always Remember, You hold the power to build your own legacy.
