I Fell In Love With A Reader

I watched as she flipped through the pages of my life,

The hint of a smile playing around her lips,

It pained me to know that I was the cause of all her emotions excited or sober,

However, neither one of us could pursue the other,

When she was tired and drained of energy,

I was her resort for remedy,

I wish I was real,

I wish she was fake,

I wish fate did not trap me in what is fake,

I wish destiny did not trap her in what was real,

But we will meet once again,

When the scorching sun turns to rain,

And when we are all but dust and ash and vain

(When the character falls in love with the reader).
