I dreamt of us being together

I dreamt of us growing old

I thought you would accept me

As I wanted you to.

The bond we shared was very strong

But I was altogether wrong

'Cause it was only strong

Not unbreakable.

I knew you were hiding something

When I looked into your eyes.

But didn’t think that the truth

Would make me think

My decision twice.

You, you made me happy

You made me smile.

When my tears would stream down

You would wipe them away

To replace them with a smile.

Never thought you would leave me

Never thought you'd abandon me

'Cause it hurts so much

To see you smile

Which is not brought by me.
