I DO NOT OWN ME

Every part of me has been given to the other

I choke on my grief and heartache

Splurging dark blood all over

Others already have a picture of me

When even I do not have a picture of me

Let me be me

Instead of what you want me to be

With each breath I take it feels like a ferocious beast is gnawing at my heart How can it be

That I can’t even look thou in the eye

Those beautiful yet murderous pendants

Ravages me over and over again

I wish, O I wish

My head finds rest on another's shoulder

With thou arms around my being

With nothing but sweet silence passing between us

As my saltiness soak thou garment

And my nails pierce thou flesh
