Why did you come to me so young?
Why’d you let me hear your song?
Why did you come so fast when life ahead’s still so damn long?
Why did I fall for you so quickly, young yet sick with yearning?
Why do you never answer me, what am I to be learning?
Why do you just stare back?
Why do you have two faces?
Why’s one of them so kind?
Why’s it the kind one that you hide away from me?
Why is it when my eyes are half asleep is when you let me see?
Will you ever answer me?
