How the Right Kind of Love Shapes, Transforms and Inspires Us

There are so many versions of you that have never been out into the world.

We all bear an infinite number of hidden personalities, flaws and quirks which we hide from the regular people in our daily life, waiting for the right person to bring it out and take an admiration towards it.

In that someone’s presence, thoughts you thought could never be put into words come out in the easiest way possible, feelings become so much more vibrant and, you, overall, inhabit yourself so much more fully. Love can change you from being “perfect” to perfectly imperfect, making it an act of transformation and sometimes, even renewal.

I’d argue everyone has felt it themselves, in the entirety of their being, atleast once. How new feelings emerge when you find another person who understands you, maybe even better than you, yourself, do.

Henrik Karlsson, a Swedish essayist, says that love can be form of symbiotic revolution. Beyond it being just something you watch on TV or read about, you, yourself desire to be a part of someone’s unfolding life, as they become a part of yours too.

On the same note, there’s a term known as annealing, in chemistry.

Essentially, it is heating a metal so much that the microstructure of it becomes more vulnerable. It softens it up and increase ductility.

Very heightened emotional states like grief, nostalgia, euphoria or ecstasy “melts” the brain. Hence, just like in the process of annealing, you can better shape your brain.

You become a more open person

Just like that, love emitting from the right person can change you completely, all the way down to your core. The habits that come afterwards are much more permanent and solid ones, formed by just the right amount of respect, understanding and attention.

Maybe that’s why someone can feel like destiny.

There are very prescisely dedicated songs, stories and poems about love and I wonder if that’s why there is so much hype about it.

The feeling alone is as a tool that can generate, innovate and inspire new ideas.

I think that’s the whole point of love - Not needing it to make you a whole person but a better one who thinks they are worth investing and adding into.

So you write the song, tell the tale and take the risk.

You inhabit yourself so much more fully.
