Hope This Ends!

Hope is underrated; like a gorget amidst battle;

War is a medieval’s curse; eyes of a returning warrior;

Blood and wails of men; fear and whistling of iron;

Striking arrows triggering the rush;

Walking through wounded flesh; up above craving vultures;

Hope this ends; a strange paradise to live in!

A fight of the kings; for his sons, I kneel;

Killed a stranger; his wife's soul;

Hope this ends as I walk back once!

Dance and harps; petals blinding my sight;

The struggle of a knight through the night;

Nightmares in my dreams; love's peaceful sleep;

Hope this ends; A day I can travel to the other side!
