Hope In A Dead Heart

Looking back, I have faced a lot A child can bear some amount of hate I have dared to dream and saw it shatter My eyes glued to the doctor for any open gate I was given tremendous hope I was hung onto it for so long that after a while I forgot my pain embraced it with a teary smile that was wrong I held onto it thinking it would end soon never a negative feedback heard from my side I knew everyone did what they could do best I just hid the lying and crying to hide my plight

It’s been so long and I have seen worse I wonder how I made through such torture when you had no intentions of waking up next day I ponder how I carried out the ritual like a living corpse The dreams were crushed during the major growing

when people had goals, I was still yearning for happiness

when people had aims, I was still praying for freedom

when people had achievements, I was still struggling with my mess

when people were moving ahead, I was still hiding behind curtains

when people were maturing, I was trying to wake the dead child in me

when people were choosing careers, I was still living in my hallucinations

when people were chasing idols, I was figuring out how to live with a dead heart
