Honesty

I wish I had superpowers.

Those that would make me extraordinary.

I don’t ask for hands that can fire.

I don’t ask for suits to fly.

I don’t wish to be a hero, nor do I wish

To turn life to zero.

No. I don’t want any of those.

My superpower isn’t a fantasy. It’s real.

One of a kind I’d say, it’s powerful.

In a vile world of lies, honesty is my superpower.

It’s lame? I don’t think so.

That which can conquer fear

That which can crush one’s guilt

That which can burn the lies and

That which earns respect

Is nothing less than a superpower.

But, in this society, superpowers don’t

Make you a superhero.

Then what does honesty make you?

What else if not human?
