Hold On
By Aishani Arpita Bhattacharya
The day grew darker,
My blood flowed thicker.
The clock struck slower,
My heart rate became quicker.
Funny isn’t it?
How every stage of life is a test,
Yet it somehow never fails
To leave a person not in unrest!
Surely every day we say,
Maybe today is our day.
So we try to conquer,
Every barricade in our way.
It’s vital to not lose hope,
As we ourselves are incapable
Of knowing what we can and cannot do
So do not be fooled.
Sometimes you may fail,
Sometimes you may feel down,
But that should not let you ever feel
That you don’t deserve the crown!
I say let us rise
Instead of neglecting ourselves in despise.
We all have five hobbies in life:
To make money, be in shape, stay creative
Build knowledge and grow our mindset.
Neither you or I is great,
But we hold the power to change our own fate.
Have courage and be strong,
And you will ultimately find yourself
Where you belong.
