Here And There

I miss you on a

Wednesday evening

and wish

you were here.

The crimson of the

dusky sky

spreads out,

as the flocks

return home

and the

withered leaves

lament the remnants

of the decaying day.

It's not the same,

however,

without your

unruly hair.

And the laughter

and kisses of a

forgotten evening

linger in the air.

I play your

favourite song,

sipping from my

half-empty cup.

While you

sitting somewhere

miss me on a

Wednesday evening,

wishing I was there.
