Her Stillness

He carried all her joys away,

Leaving her only with dismay,

He had promised to be her happily ever after,

But proved to be a terrible disaster

He had taken oath to always make her smile,

Not revealing that one day he will be going away miles,

She used to see her portrait in his eye,

But he left her in tears of goodbye.

She was left helpless and all broken,

As her peace of mind was somewhere taken.

After five years he again came,

Perhaps to play the same game,

He had left without any message or call,

And now returned with an excuse to paint her heart's broken walls.

Maybe he is planning to follow the same norm,

But this time, her stillness is enough to defeat his storm...
