Heaven's Far Off
By Maahi Verma
Some are just meant to be free,
While the others are simply meant to see;
How agonizing can it be,
To talk of ‘me’,
While the others talk of ‘we’.
But still she goes with the flow,
Secretly on a venture to gain back her alst glow.
Comparatively, her life’s motion is slow,
Because all she ever feels is low.
She sits calm on her throne in a burning castle,
Her kingdom is full of hassle.
Even after losing a winning battle;
She believes in continuing her hustle.
She swore on doing no wrong deeds,
On her subjects’ trust she feeds.
For their support, she pleads.
She pledges to fulfil all their expectations and needs.
But even after her fair choice, she falls.
Reminiscing of the time her presence alone filled empty halls.
At present, she feels trapped surrounded by her own four walls.
Still she remains grown, waiting for the right calls.
