Heather in bloom

In August vibrant heathers flare up.

I love their earthly scent, that slightly bitter.

I’m struck by dells and forests pinkish map,

By crimson, white and purple hills I’m deeply smitten.

It will remind me of the Naroch woods

Pugnacious capercallie’s vivid plumage.

From under feet in flashback of childhood

Take wing abruptly timid Scottish patridge.

Enchanted by the summer’s silent pace

From inflorescence seeds are falling loudly

And firmly wrapped in Heaven and in Earth

The space is trembling with the rainbow shadows.

Upon the glorious land adorned in bloom

By measured dreamy step, entwined together

With sun, that pierce cloudy darken gloom

I walk subdued through luscious fields of heather.
