Hearts Break In Silence

Hearts break in silence

Without the slightest sound

Neither a whimper, nor a thud

As the world continues to spin around

A babies loud crying can be heard

And so can the soft whirring of

fans

The rustling of leaves, the tempering of spices

Even the banging of pots and pans

You hear sounds everywhere

Soothing, calming, screeching, grating

But have you ever heard

The sound of a heart breaking?

Could this be a message from God

Who in His infinite wisdom

Refrained from creating a sound

For this deep devastation in His kingdom

So if your heart has fallen apart

After lots of pain or angst or violence

God definitely has other plans for you

As He heals your heart in silence
