Heartbreaks…
By Srishti Satsangi
Hope this pain will wipe away someday,
on a day certainly 50 years away.
They say all cowards will die in vain,
while soaking in unrelenting rain.
No, the rain it won't be stopping through the highs and through the lows,
but there ain't no ending, bringing all this to a conclusion unknown.
Maybe you tried, maybe they were blind,
with an opaque cloth over their eyes, your invisible muffled cries.
Heartbreaks are like glasses,
they drop once and can't be mended.
Are you sure you're not turning towards the red light?
Is that how we are supposed to act at these hours?
Running through the mind all the thoughts and burning rhymes,
I know I won't read these ever again in my life.
Higher than the clouds, than the thunder on the round,
won't reach me any way if I'll keep up with this spout.
Let those drops knock our doors and pour all on us,
it won't feel distressing anymore,
because the rain is what helps all the flowers grow and shine under the sun.
