Heart Pour
By Alifiya Hanif
She saw the darkness in her heart mirror in the sky,
The clouds moved and clashed,
Shook the land with their screams and roars,
The earth trembled with fear, shut their windows and doors,
soothing themselves,
leaving the storm outdoors.
After holding in, it failed and poured,
Bled and shed tears of uproar.
The land was drenched, a blessing for the farmer dancing in his fields,
The river growled, the boatman fearing the sink.
The sky put it all out and sat silent that night,
Slept in it's peaceful gleam, feeling weightless and light.
Life is the same for both her and her sky,
Shunned when they scream, they break down to oblige,
But,
When the pain tugs and pulls the fear out,
They sleep soundly,
In peace, hugging their might.
