He Walks with the Lions, My Child
He is a Lion, my child,
not by skin or sinewed paw,
but by the sovereignty in his
heart that brooks no flaw.
When life, a tangled
thorn-bush,
barred the way he sought,
he did not flinch,
he did not pause,
but met the challenge;
he fought!
His courage was a silent roar.
With strength that did not yield,
he walked fiercely on,
across the unblazed field.
My child, the untrembling cub,
He endured the heat of the
midday sun,
the bitter chill of night,
the nips of fate,
and scars unseen,
to claim his royal right to life.
Now, he stands in pride,
a solitary king.
His gaze, clear and deep,
a golden mane of purpose found.
He is the hunter of his dreams,
the guardian of his domain,
a majestic force,
born to reign.
