He (God) pulled me from the shadows.

A mask of silence worn on my face. A smile to hide the bleeding ache. Each word he spoke a dagger of destruction, yet, I was groomed to hide the toll, but the pain I just couldn’t shake.
I found myself, dancing around his anger, tiptoe past his pride, lost myself in pieces, until I nearly died.
He gaslit all my memories, twisted love into control, he stripped away my laughter and tried to fracture my very soul.
But God my faithful Father whispered right into my night, “daughter, you’re made for so much more than this. You were born to walk in freedom and in My perfect light.”
So, I clung to every promise when my tears became my prayers, when no one saw the bruises, but I knew, that I knew my God was there.
He didn’t shout from heaven, NO! He came into my pit and sat with me in silence and He, gave me strength to quit.
He broke the chains so gently, while holding my trembling hands, He thought me how to stand again, upon Christ the Rock not shifting sand.
Then came Freedom Warriors, just a group, mmm or so it seemed. But here I found myself again and dared, again to dream.
Though I’m one of the ones who leads it, this ministry led me too. As I poured out for others, God poured healing through and through.
You see, each story shared in courage, each, prayer and tear we sow, helps uncover buried strength, I never thought I’d know.
Now I breath with holy boldness, no longer afraid to speak. Because my scars are now my sermon, and God lifts the crushed and weak.
You see, I was never what that man called me.
I wasn’t even what I believed. I am who God declares me, I am healed, I am redeemed and I am freed.
So, if you’re trapped in shadows, and the lies won’t let you go, please call upon the Savior. He still rescues souls, you know.
