Hatshepsut

Pharaoh of Egypt

Woman extraordinaire

Meet me once

By the shores of the Nile

I will wait for you

As patiently as the croc

And you will glide your way through

A papyrus bush like silky dust

Then we will hold hands

And look at the stars

You’ll tell me your story

Of courage and gall

When it’s time to part

The wind will whistle

And a drop of water

From the river’s bed

Will suddenly rise and say

“Let the boatman call!”
