Guilt

Tarnished visions of forever,
Somber colours,
Withered leaves.
A sight that I now dread,
When waves of memories,
Sway me away from the reality.
Raw and untamed,
We believed in diamond in the rough,
And yet sigh at the sight of fallen petals.
Swiftly we have, lost this essence.
How oblivion of the illusions we were!
Blindfolded by somber,
Life felt intoxicated,
Blurry sight and staggering walk,
Reality seemed to be more serene than,
The thoughts that is painted,
Grey inside this mind.
A loud knock of reality stroked,
Emotions now diluted,
With the fear of unknown.
Reality, we despised it.
Yet with a sulky pace,
We are now trapped,
In this maze of harsh reality.
Decisions!
Decisions!
In solitude I lay,
With an empty soul,
Yet the guilt of letting go,
Weighs a million masses.
If I ever had to look back,
I would take another chance to be stabbed.
I would trade my strides,
For the glimpse of joy,
We lost in the face of reality.
