"Grow Up"

It's hard to grow up,

Because you already did,

The circumstances made it so,

For if they were any different,

You would still be enjoying it all slow.

Some stay young,

Some grow up too fast,

For maturity is not the end of innocence,

It’s the end of seeing it all from your perspective,

And start to be somewhat reflective and introspective.

Incidents that happened a lifetime ago,

Still come to haunt me,

But never come the good parts of childhood,

People say all this makes us strong,

All that it does is make all of them wrong.

Now that you are all grown up,

You should have some regrets,

They are the essence of life or they will be,

Just don't lose yourself in this devious world,

As you are just being unfurled.
