Greetings from a Stranger

I held the door to let you in.

A stranger that I once knew.

You greeted me with kind eyes, but when I looked closer, I saw sadness, too.

You thought I had forgotten about you, but that was not the case.

I thought about you often.

Yet…

I built a wall, brick by brick, to make sure I wouldn’t see you again.

But here you are, my dear old friend.

Hello Love.

It's nice to see you again.
