Goodbyes

Your first existence in my life,

Made me appreciate every sunrise.

However, your immediate departure

Towards your last breath,

Made my bitterness sharper.

Goodbyes…I shun them.

You were my joy pill,

But you transpired to be

The cure for the happiness

I was hoping to cherish

With you to eternity.

Goodbyes…I abhor them.

You left me in a quiet space, and

My gruesome grief grew into great clamor

Which became noticeable in their eyes.

Then and only then, I acquired loneliness.
