The Good Samaritan vs The Expert

The lullaby in our psyche

the story that confuses our concepts of Godly

our misconception of hierarchy...the story that reveals our hidden faulty...that we are tasteless experts no longer salty...

when given positions we become haughty

our hearts mineralize to rocky,

our characters submit to cocky

Misconceptions so worldly we have missed the concepts of love thy neighbour and self equally

the expert dares to question Jesus as a test

while the Samaritan kneels to the side of the hurt

experts see the wounded and cross the road they don’t pick up and carry the cross

they use theology to build walls and not to dress bleeding sores

Sauls' in that along the way they are defined by the position even when they lose the divine relation

notice how they continue to walk when one pause

how are you passing the hungry, you’ve carried their struggle in your fasting

how are you stingy when real wealth is in generosity

these are expert Pharisees, Levites still in diapers

but here is one from Samaria's useless realities

his heart like the Messiah's rushing towards danger scenes

His zeal so automated, His refuge so orchestrated...His omnipresence so tangible

experts still asked what good can ever come out of Nazareth?

Then you have the samaritans ever feeling so inadequate they ask what can come out of me that is ever good?

Experts ask who do I owe taxes to?

Samaritans say the time is now, I owe God more than what is due...I owe it to Him to be His fool

to be His tool, His footstool, His awestruck crew

and as I cast "my know it all" crown, disappear from the "we are on your side" crowd, deal with the I will exalt myself" proud, shame my I am better than them" pride, leave alone those who I claim demand rituals" but died, ...as I learn from Christ side to side...

He crowns me to rule in the mud, in the flood, to soothe the scarred. Salvation demands that you walk away from the cloud.
