Good old days

The days were endless

We were reckless

The time was timeless

In the good old days.

We did not take life too seriously

We laughed at life’s problems sarcastically

We did not think realistically

Always caught in our own fantasy.

We enjoyed life

When there was no stress

We did not know the meaning or importance of responsibility

We just had fun to the best of our ability.

Now, in the present, those good old days are long gone

We have more work, less time to have fun

My friends have left, and they have gone to chase their dreams

And I have to make new friends and chase my own dreams.

Life has changed

I am still the same

Now, I understand the way people feel when they say

“Oh, how I miss the good old days.”
