Give Me Back!

Tiny hands and little fingers,

Dripping nose and cry for hunger.

Running and jumping all over,

Enjoying in monsoon’s first shower.

Counting stars and blessing money,

Eating medicines with lots of honey.

Playing stapoo and hide and seek,

Shouting aloud when wounds bleed.

How the bird of time has flown away,

Taking my innocence along its way.

Give me back my lost childhood,

Life is dull in dreary woods.

No joys, no adventures dear,

The cycle of like has twisted here.

All over with the world of dreams,

But no one to hear your screams.
