Games Minds Play

Hearing voices when alone and seeing things not in zone.

Dreams ended with a moan, I wished I was long bygone.

I wish I could write “It all began when…”

Slavery to the spirits did not start young.

Never expected the devil to be in my equation,

While exploring all prospects to my condition,

I hit rock bottom gasping for air, nothing more to lose to be fair.

Disowned and forgotten to rot, took it with a pinch of salt.

Thoughts of suicide crossed my mind, albeit all the benefits in kind.

I am glad it never materialized, considering the fortunes haven’t been realized

Everything happens for good as they say, conjuring my fate as I pray.

Rise from ashes like the Phoenix, let the rebirth be free from the double helix
