From An Adolescent's Desk
By Gurkirat Singh Aulakh
One fine day , said an adolescent to his mom and dad , Your untamed parental authority at times makes me sad Care thou must , but it need not drive you mad Remember your times and forget not what all thou had had !!! Notwithstanding your forced protocols and earnest imprints In Lords eyes I am an entity with unique fingerprints I do understand your values and morals But for Gods sake , erase the selfish urge for reciprocal laurels !!
Whatever efforts thou sow in for my upbringing , I promise I will reciprocate I will give you a luxurious environment , in case thou remain focused on hymn singing Believe me , I will only follow the Masters orders to date or procreate !!! Thou had your era and your time Change is the law of Nature With changing times , let me live my times Shun stubbornness , straight forwardness lies in aligning with the curvature To err or falter is human , the theory of relativity has no ends And always remember , there ‘s no relation stronger than ‘ close friends ‘ I am yours and you are mine , everyday and any day Thou are my umbrella ; in thoughts Monday through Sunday Mind not how I fare or what I say , For I harbour your Un oppressed DNA !!!
