Friendship and Trust
By Anantjit Chander
Friendship and trust, two pillars strong,
A bond that lasts, a lifelong song.
A treasure rare, a precious gem,
An unbreakable tie, a priceless emblem.
It starts with a spark, a simple connection,
Two souls align, a perfect reflection.
A shared interest, a common goal,
A friendship born, a beautiful whole.
It takes time to grow, to nurture and feed,
To build the trust, the bond they need.
To share their secrets, to bear their souls,
To lift each other, and make them whole.
It's not about how often they meet,
But how deep the bond, how strong the beat.
It's not about what they can do,
But how much they care, how much is true.
A true friend stands by your side,
Through the good and evil, through the rough ride.
A true friend knows you very well,
Who sees through your mask, who can always tell.
A true friend is one who listens with care,
Who offers advice, who's always there.
A true friend is one who gives without asking,
Who loves unconditionally, who's never tasking.
Trust is the glue that binds it all,
The foundation strong, the building tall.
It's built on honesty, on openness and truth,
On mutual respect, on proof beyond the booth.
Trust is not given, but earned with time,
With every step taken, with every climb.
It's a fragile thing, easily broken,
But once lost, it's hard to be awoken.
Friendship and trust, a match made in heaven,
A gift from above, a blessing given.
It's something to cherish, something to hold dear,
A bond that's forever, a memory to share.
