A fundamental right

Humans do humans fight

Like a Phoenix flight

Warriors from the ashes ignite

Thoughts being bought

When inner peace is sought

Battles of the brain fought

Conscience in a tight knot

Riots galore

On the minds floor

Time to kick open the door

Be a part of folklore

Stirring a deep-seated longing

For an ounce of belonging

Social ethos tumbling

Firewalls all over crumbling

Rules of the men

Blazing the rings of seven

Up in heaven

Not a sin, to be forgiven

Marching into the Unknown

Dancing to the tunes of the hearts they own

Beyond the wisdom of the known

Like a Crown well worn

Bondages being broken

Truths out in open

Inhibitions forsaken

Less travelled paths taken

Challenging the norm

Stars are born

When the curtains are drawn

Life must go on …
