Forgotten Soul

I’m hardly a person anymore

For I’m broken dreams

For I’m lost hopes

For I’m wrong paths

I’m hardly a human now

For I’m emotionless

For I’m thoughtless

For I’m just a body

I’m a skeleton with muscles

That has forgotten what it is to dance

I’m a heart with pulse

That has forgotten what it is to love

I’m a lung with air

That has forgotten what it is to laugh

I’m a face with imperfections

That has forgotten what it is to express

I’m a brain with neurons

That has forgotten what it is to think

I’m skin with cells

That has forgotten what it is to touch

I’m just a living body

That has forgotten what it is to have a soul!
