THE JOURNEY THAT KEEPS ME ALIVE!
Travelling: My Greatest Therapy
Travel has been one of the greatest forms of healing in my life. After everything I have experienced, it has become more than just a hobby-it keeps my spirit alive. There is something magical about stepping into a new place, breathing different air, meeting new people, and seeing the world from a fresh perspective. Every journey refreshes my mind and reminds me how beautiful and diverse life can be.
Malaysia Attractions: Cameron Highland, Genting Highland, Fraser Hill, Bukit Tinggi, Langkawi Island, Penang Island, KLCC, KL Tower, Aquaria KLCC, Pulau Perhentian, Legoland in Johor, Melaka the historical city, Batu Caves, Putrajaya, Mount Kinabalu, Kuching, Sarawak,, Pangkor Island, Teluk Intan, Port Dickson, Semporna and Redang island.
Whether it is India, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, Bali, or Europe, every destination offers something unique. Each place has its own culture, history, beauty, and story waiting to be discovered.
What attracts me most is not just the famous landmarks, but also the beauty of nature, cultural diversity, local traditions, peaceful surroundings, and the people themselves.
You do not need a passport to begin an adventure. Start where you are, explore what is nearby, and create memories along the way. Don't wait for the perfect time-START now, before it becomes too late.
🌍 Planning Your Travel Wisely
One of the best ways to enjoy travel is by creating a customized itinerary that suits your interests, pace, and budget. Whether you are traveling solo, with family, friends, or as part of a group, thoughtful planning can make a significant difference. Group travels - you might have to share rooms with a total stranger and can be a challenge. (mess, snores, fussiness) but that’s how you learn to survive people. Right?
💰 Travel During Off-Peak Seasons
Booking flights and accommodations during off-peak periods can significantly reduce travel expenses. Benefits include:
✅ Lower airfare (non-peak seasons)
✅ Better hotel rates
✅ Smaller crowds
✅ Easier access to attractions
✅ More relaxed travel experiences
* Plan ahead: Many Asian destinations are easy to explore on your own with good preparation.
* Use trusted platforms: Websites like Agoda, Booking.com, Tripadvisor, and Klook help you book flights, hotels, transport, and tickets conveniently.
* Go independent for flexibility: You can manage most parts of your trip without depending on tour operators.
* Book major attractions early: For theme parks, special events, or places with limited entry, use official booking sites or reliable travel agencies.
* Peace of mind matters: Agency advance bookings can save time and ensure confirmed access to popular spots.
📅 Choose the Right Season
Whenever possible, consider traveling during SPRING OR AUTUMN.
While winter can be magical in certain destinations, it often comes with challenges such as:
❄️ Heavy clothing requirements (winter, boots, warmer, scarfs)
❄️ Additional luggage costs for heavy clothing. (Europe, Japan)
❄️ Shorter daylight hours especially winter
❄️ Weather-related delays or cancellation (limited access)
❄️ spring or autumn or summer (beautiful scenery, comfortable weather)
Spring and autumn usually allow travellers to explore more comfortably and cover greater distances without being restricted by extreme weather conditions.
🍽️ Food and Dietary Considerations
Food is an important part of travel, but preparation is essential.
Before traveling
✅ Research local cuisine (vegan/veg/lactose/halal)
✅ Check ingredient information of the serving food on plane
✅ Learn key allergy phrases in the local language
✅ Inform airlines of dietary requirements
✅ Notify tour operators or hotels in advance
Large group tours often provide standard meal options unless special requests are made in advance.
🎒 Packing Essentials (lightweight and culturally appropriate)
Packing smart can save both money and stress. Consider bringing:
👕 Sufficient clothing for summer or winter seasons
👟 Comfortable walking shoes (winter to summer shoes)
🧦 Extra socks and headphones
🧣 Lightweight scarves or shawls
☂️ Compact umbrella or rain jacket
💊 Essential medications & mini first-aid kit (band aids, pain relievers)
💧 Reusable water bottle or light thermos
🥜 Instant snacks - crackers, nuts, dried fruits, granola bars
🎧 Ear plugs - for peaceful flights, trains or hotel stays
🤢 Motion sickness bands or remedies
🎫 Travel tickets - printed/digital (for bus, trains and commuters)
📱 Mobile phone ready to go - SIM card or roaming activated
🔋 Power bank & charging cable
🪪 Passport / ID / Travel documents
💳 Cash & bank cards - a backup payment option
😎 Sunglasses & sunscreen
🧻 Tissues & wet wipes
🛡️ TRAVEL SAFETY TIPS
Safety is the most essential matter while travelling. Shocked Pusheen
✅ Dress appropriately as per local culture and social class.
✅ Stay aware of your surroundings at all times.
✅ Avoid traveling alone in isolated or poorly lit areas, especially at night.
✅ Be extra alert in crowded places where pickpocketing is common. (phone, passports and wallets)
✅ Watch out for scams, fake promotions, and unsolicited offers.
✅ Verify tour agencies and travel deals before making payments.
✅ Keep emergency contacts and important documents accessible.
✅ Be prepared to manage situations independently if your travel agent is unavailable.
✅ Whistle or personal safety alarm
✅ Pepper spray (check local laws before carrying) - checked baggage
✅ Small torchlight (useful if you're stuck in a cave, during power outages, or in remote areas)
✅ Padlock, luggage lock, or protective bag cover
✅ Safety tracking app installed and ready to use
✅ Emergency contacts saved on your phone
✅ Offline maps downloaded for backup navigation
There are cabin bags vs checked baggage.
Cabin bags - 7 kg (scissors, sharp, inflammable items are not allowed)
Checked baggage - 20 to 30 kg (razor, shower gels, shampoos, water, are allowed) - domestic usually allows about 15kg compare to international.
Golden Rule: Stay alert, trust your instincts, and prioritize your safety over convenience.
Travel reminds us that the world is much larger than our daily routines, and sometimes the journey itself becomes the greatest source of healing, hope, and happiness. Don’t ever stay in the same place forever like a stone or tree!
For me, travel is not about collecting countries on a list. It is about discovering new places, experiencing different cultures, meeting people, and finding inspiration along the way.
Every destination leaves behind memories, lessons, and stories that stay with me long after the journey ends.
I am not much of a jungle trekking person, but I do enjoy adventures like zip-lining, ATV rides, and paragliding. Who knows? Maybe one day I'll be brave enough to explore even more!

🌍✨ Sometimes I wish humans could journey with the same boundless freedom-crossing lands guided only by good intentions, carrying curiosity instead of suspicion, and leaving no harm behind, not even to the smallest ant. For the earth was never born with fences; it was gifted to us as a shared home, vast and open, beneath one endless sky.
The world is not divided by borders as much as it is united by our shared humanity.
Every journey leaves the behind memories, lessons, and inspiration that stay with me long after I return home.
Perhaps travel is not merely about discovering new places-it is about discovering and meet the reflections of ourselves, living in different chapters of the same human story.
TRAVEL BEFORE TOO LATE. START NOW, BEFORE THE WORLD DOESN’T ALLOW YOU CROSSING THE BORDERS AGAIN. Such events happened with the pandemic 2020, right?
