From lovers to friends to not even well-wishers,

Yet here you are, years later, waiting for her.

She never thought she’d meet you like this.

The hours slipped by, like sand in a fist.

“These moments, do they have a meaning?

Or will it be brushed off as a fun evening?”,

She wondered, as she searched your eyes for answers.

Perhaps first loves don’t really last forever.
